Santander Consumer Bank AG contracted F/L/S Fuzzy Logik Systeme to develop an interactive software system for credit and sales consulting. The system is based on Qualicision®, a decision-support tool for business as well as for technical tasks, combining specific qualitative decision-support features with general software features.

The software system for credit and sales consulting works in an interactive way, the bank's customer consultant operating the system while interviewing his customer. The customer information is filled in credit, insurance or other application or contract forms displayed on the screen exactly the same way a printed form would be filled in.

In the moment the consultant is entering the information, the system automatically determines online specific credit or sales options, in order to have the sales suggestions best meet the customer's needs and situation. The software carries out and evaluates standard functions as consumer credit information or credit investigation as well as individual information concerning the customer-specific use of the credit.

Designed as a qualified decision support system, the software system works at every Santander Consumer Bank AG consultant's desk in more than 50 cities in Germany.

In automobile manufacturing, the car assembly process often is subject to a series of disturbances or fluctuations. Blockings or releases of different models or customer-specific special equipment demand flexible reactions of the supervising staff, in order to grant the most even assembly capacity utilization possible. On the other hand, the manufacturing process must be increasingly determined by market and sales points requirements.

Based on current production data, Qualicision® determines several alternative optimizations. The program evaluates the alternatives regarding their probable effects on the assembly stations utilization as well as on the optimum stock in the high rise store. The evaluation is expressed in fuzzy efficiency figures, describing the effects on the assembly process. Qualicision® evaluates the efficiency figures and transforms them into sequencing suggestions.

The software enables the sequence supervising staff to weight the optimization goals and to decide among different optimization alternatives. The decision result will be a set of optimization possibilities determining the sequence in which car bodies are taken out of the high rise store and transferred to the assembly stations. A user interface visualizes the decision quality, graphically displaying system relevant parameters.
